The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is one of the most anticipated smartphone lineups of 2022. And so far, we have seen many leaks and rumors related to the upcoming S22 smartphone. Joining the rumor thread are the latest leaked images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and we can’t help but be reminded of the Galaxy Note 20. Here’s the first look:
Galaxy S22 Ultra leaks again
Popular tipster Evan Blass today shared (via Twitter ) what appears to be an official render of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. From the looks of it, this phone looks like a successor to the Galaxy Note 20 with some genes from the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The phone has flat edges, a large screen, and of course an S Pen slot . The element of the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the rear camera array, but there are changes. This time, it is expected that the camera housing will be placed separately instead of being placed in a huge camera module. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is also expected to adopt the same bronze color (or an improved rose gold) as the previous generation series.
More colors are also available. Recently, actual images of the phone leaked, highlighting the black colorway and the same design revealed in the renders shared by Brass.
As for specifications, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Variants of the Exynos 2200 chipset (scheduled to launch on January 11) will also be available in some parts of the world. It is likely to feature an AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, and possibly 1TB of storage. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to come with a 200MP main camera with many camera improvements. It also comes with a high-capacity battery with fast charging and wireless capabilities.
Other than this, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with some changes from last year’s models. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch in early 2022 , possibly in January or early February 2022 (February 8th is rumored).
Samsung hasn’t revealed any details yet, so it’s best to wait until we have a more definitive idea. We’ll have all the latest updates in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
