Introducing new Windows 11 Insider Preview builds

Microsoft has provided an important and essential new update to Developer Build and Canary Build users. The developer channel brings some very interesting tweaks and improvements to the overall user experience, but the canary channel is much more ” under the hood ” in terms of its improvements. Windows 11 Developer Channel Build 23511: Details

The major and most important update was pushed in the form of developer channel build 23511. The first thing you’ll notice is the visual revamp of Windows Spotlight. A single window will appear that compresses all the information you need. Preview images full screen, learn more about individual images, and use the new minimized window view. To launch Windows Spotlight, right-click or double-click the Spotlight icon on your desktop to go directly to a Bing landing page with all the relevant image details you need.

When it comes to notifications, we’ve added a new notification bell icon that provides a visual cue instead of notifying you of the number of notifications. It follows the system accent color and is filled if there are pending notifications or empty if there are no notifications. Additionally, a pop-up notification will now appear if the camera stops working in situations where it shouldn’t. Pop-up windows help you follow troubleshooting steps to resolve your issue.

This new update also fixes snap layouts. A fix has been issued for situations where layout suggestions are turned off. You can now easily split your screen for multitasking, and turning on suggestions will help you precisely split your screen between multiple apps for maximum productivity.

For Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise users, this new build provides a more comprehensive experience with previews when hovering over files such as Word documents and Excel sheets. This is only available in the Recommendations section . Other than that, there are some smaller changes, and Microsoft is also pushing some fixes and improvements to known issues. Windows 11 Canary Channel Build 25915: Details

Microsoft has also pushed Windows 11 updates to Canary Channel builds in the form of 25915. Unlike Dev Channel build updates, Canary Channel has no major or notable feature updates. All features introduced in the development channel have been imported into this channel, including a new details pane, passkey improvements, and new taskbar features. The only feature update you’ll see in this build is the new Outlook for Windows Preview is now an Inbox app.

If you’re using this Windows 11 build, switching between refresh rate and dynamic refresh rate is improved . You can also expect improved network connectivity and stability over Ethernet. Also, if you are using this build on your ASUS laptop and have recently had issues with your motherboard, this has been fixed as well.
