Pixel 4 Motion Sense won't work in India even if you import the device

Google Pixel 4 was launched earlier this month without much fuss, as almost everything about this flagship was already known to us. I know that the company has built a robust flagship store and it is a shame that it is not coming to India. This radar chip uses 60GHz millimeter wave frequency, which is reserved for military (or defense) use, so it will not work in India. Motion Sense gestures and Quick Face Unlock will not work in India as unlicensed civilian use is not allowed in India. Well, it is clear that Google did not launch its flagship product in India as one of the key features is currently not running.

The consensus was that Soli radar chips purchased outside India should be supported, and they are. But thanks to YouTube creator Austin Evans, we now know that the Soli radar chip is automatically disabled when you enter India, Japan, Australia, and many other unauthorized countries.
