Apple to simultaneously produce iPhone 14 in India and China

iPhone 14 production details revealed

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple may start manufacturing the iPhone 14 in India at the same time as it plans to start production in China . Both production sites are scheduled to begin manufacturing the new iPhone in the second half of 2022.

This will be the first time that India will manufacture iPhones during the launch period. Production in India typically begins one to two quarters after launch. The iPhone 14 will be manufactured at Foxconn’s factory in Tamil Nadu.

Now, Kuo also sheds light on the fact that there is still a gap in iPhone shipments and production capacity between India and China. But starting production in both regions at the same time is a dramatic change for India , and appears to be a ” key growth driver ” for Apple.

In fact, Apple’s recent earnings report suggests that its second quarter revenue in India doubled. This could be the reason why the iPhone maker wants to start its production plans in India early. This could also lead to lower prices for the upcoming iPhone 14 series than usual, but this is just speculation at this point.

A recent price leak suggests that the iPhone 14 could start at $799 (approximately Rs. 63,200), the same starting price as the iPhone 13 . This is despite supply chain issues. As for future developments, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, all of which may come with 120Hz ProMotion displays.

The Pro model is likely to come with the latest A16 chipset and 48MP camera, while the non-Pro version is likely to stick with last year’s A15 chipset and 12MP camera. Expect a new pill+hole display design, bigger battery, improved camera performance, more RAM, and more loads.
