5 Tips to Master Web Wings in Spider-Man 2

One of the new additions to Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 game besides Super Slingshot is Web Wings. This is a unique new way to travel around New York City with great ease. The wings themselves are easy to use, but mastering them can be difficult. We had the same problem at first, but after playing the game for over 20 hours, we came up with a good idea and would like to help you with that as well. So, if you recently started playing Spider-Man 2 and want to master the web wing, keep reading as we will show you the 5 best tips to do so.

1. Don’t forget the webwing ring

Insomniac has been planning for some time now for players who want to master Web Wings. As such, it incorporates a very attractive mechanism of wind flow through the city that can be used to quickly move around New York. If you are using Web Wings, you can see these streams indicated by green rings flowing along the path.

Fly into one of these green circles and then follow its path to gain a devastating burst of speed. The last ring goes even faster and gives you a big vertical boost to fly through the air. Remember this tip first and foremost when using Web Wings.

2. Combine with Super Slingshot

The Super Slingshot is enough to move fast on its own, but when combined with the Web Wings it becomes a force to be reckoned with. The best part is that you can do this anywhere. All you have to do is learn how to do the “slingshot fire” in Spider-Man 2 using the guide linked here.

As soon as it takes to the air, it opens its web wings and uses this massive acceleration to fly through the air and break through the sound barrier (figuratively). Next time you feel like jumping and swinging isn’t enough, remember your super slingshot skill.

3. Get started right away

The web wings themselves open very easily. However, it cannot actually open when it is stationary. So, to use this tool, Spider-Man must have a good start. You can run it to open it at any time, but we recommend using Spidey’s Super Jump to do this. First, go up to a tall building.

An easy suggestion is Avengers Tower in New York. Once there, hold R2 + X on your controller to start jumping. As soon as you reach the highest jump point, tap the “triangle” button to spread your wings and glide across the city. 4. Zip to maintain momentum

You’ve successfully launched and gotten high in the air, but there comes a point when you start to lose altitude and momentum. Moreover, this is even worse if it happens on the water. You can’t exactly get there, but there are ways you can keep your records going a little longer.

If you start to lose precious speed, press X on your controller and Spider-Man will use the nearest surface to stake out his web, giving you a small speed boost. This zipper works on most structures and even water boats. Although not the most foolproof method, this will prevent you from getting splattered on your face when you’re airborne.

5. Equip the web wing

One thing I want to make clear is that web wings are a base mechanism and cannot be upgraded . However, that doesn’t mean you can’t look good. It’s no secret that Spider-Man 2 comes with dozens of suits for Peter and Miles. However, what you may not know is that nearly every suit also comes with its own cosmetic version of web wings.
