Spider-Man 2 is primarily a linear story game, but it gives you the freedom to choose your abilities and create your own adventure. In addition to the skills you can choose in-game, both Peter and Miles have abilities that can change the outcome of a battle if chosen correctly. Today we’ll focus on the abilities of Miles Morales, the fastest Spider-Man of the duo.
Miles has a variety of abilities to choose from. However, for the sake of clarity, we have highlighted the abilities that are best suited for Miles in Spider-Man 2. So, without further delay, let’s explore them.
1. Chain Lightning
In the gameplay trailer, we saw Chain Lightning in Miles’ arsenal. And I’m happy to report that it’s as good as it was then. Miles has also matured and this skill has become more powerful, allowing him to target multiple enemies at once. As its name suggests, Chain Lightning attacks enemies with lightning, chaining two or more enemies together.
This ability doesn’t instantly stun them, but it throws them around and does a lot of damage. You can always follow up with a quick web sling and perform a finisher if needed. Nevertheless, Miles Morales’ chain lightning ability in Spider-Man 2 is a must-have.
2. Thunder Burst
Thunderburst is an ability that can be obtained late in the game. Nevertheless, it’s definitely one of Miles’ abilities in Spider-Man 2. This ability focuses on controlling enemies that are out of your reach. This could be either because you are far away or simply because your health is low and you are retreating.
However, the Thunderburst instantly teleports Miles to a distant target and lands with a burst of Venom, knocking the target down. Moreover, if the enemy’s health is low enough, you can use this cool skill to completely knock him out. Thunderburst takes a reasonable amount of time to recharge so that it can be used repeatedly.
3. Reverse magnetic flux
If the Thunder Burst is meant to go towards a target, the Reverse Flux directs it in the exact opposite direction, hence the name Reverse. With his mass-effect ability, Miles releases an evolved Venom energy pulse that draws his enemies towards him.
There is a small area of influence that all enemies are drawn into. Once drawn in, Flux immediately blows away the enemy. Flux is a combination of stun and impact damage . Miles gets this skill towards the end of the game, but it’s definitely worth the wait and you should get it as soon as you get the chance.
4. Galvanized
Arguably the last ability Miles gains in Spider-Man 2 before the end of the game, Galvanize is a great way to escape from large numbers of enemies and take the fight into the air. This handy ability launches enemies into the air while shocking them with deadly lightning strikes . But what makes it even better is that the attack easily arcs to other enemies and shocks them as well.
The Galvanize ability freezes the enemy for a significant amount of time, allowing you to zoom in on them and continue attacking them even though they are shocked. If you think about it, considering the difficulty of the game, it’s no surprise that you get this ability towards the end. Therefore, do not forget about this ability.

5. Venom Punch
You might think Venom Punch is an old trick at this point, but you’ll be surprised at how effective it is at wiping out lone enemies. For those who don’t know, Venom Punch is a “destructive bioelectric punch.” This punch applies Venom Stun to the main target and enemies behind it. However, it also sends punches flying away, causing considerable damage.
The punch itself isn’t an ability for crowd control, but it works surprisingly well. You can also upgrade it with additional skills to affect more enemies and deal more damage. So, when you’ve had enough, give Miles this ability in Spider-Man 2.
6. Venom Smash
The list ends with Smash, except that it uses Venom for power. This famous and beloved Miles ability continues in Spider-Man 2, making him more powerful than ever. As veterans may know, Venom Smash knocks Miles to the ground with a Venom Punch.
This creates a strong impact on the ground and sends the enemy flying. However, it also applies a stun effect before flying. As you can see, Venom Smash applies multiple effects in seconds, making it one of Miles’ best abilities. We also have a list of Peter Parker’s strongest abilities in “Spider-Man 2” , so be sure to check it out!
We hope you play Miles Morales to the fullest in Spider-Man 2. You may have to wait a while for some items to unlock, but it’s worth the wait.
