In a surprising turn of events, Apple has officially announced a “Scary Fast” event where it is set to unveil the next Apple M3 chip. Therefore, it is also expected that a new MacBook Pro will appear during the event. In a next development, the next MacBook Pro with the M3 chip appears to have been leaked a few days before the event itself. Keep reading as we talk about the supposedly leaked M3 MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro leak with Apple M3 chip: details
This leak was made via X (ex-Twitter) user ShrimpApplePro , also known as a reliable Apple leaker. In the post, the leaker attached the product packaging of the upcoming machine and listed the source as Weibo . The box design fits Apple’s aesthetic and general language. You can even see that the wallpaper appears to form the number “3”, indicating the 3rd generation Apple M3 processor that will be found in this new MacBook Pro. Also, this certainly looks like a MacBook Pro box, not a version of the Air. However, please note that this leakage cannot be confirmed and the final package may vary. Unfortunately, the leak didn’t mention any specs as the back of the box wasn’t shown. But judging by the packaging we can see, it’s clear that it’s likely a box for the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro.

Apple MacBook Pro leak: Expected changes
Let’s talk about the big processor upgrade coming to Apple’s new MacBook Pro. Years after Apple’s transition to ARM, the Apple M3 chip is now expected to debut at an event in October 2023. The details of the chip and its speed are unknown, but we can make some guesses. Of course, the new Apple M3 chip is expected to be more power efficient and offer a small performance boost. Comparing Apple M1 and M2, M2 has about 4 billion more transistors. We can expect the M3 to bring such a healthy jump as well.
In addition to this, improvements in the manufacturing process will also be a major change. While M2 is built on a 5nm process, M3 is expected to be built on 3nm instead. When M2 came out, Apple announced it was 18% faster in the CPU department. It was 35% faster in terms of GP performance. The improved 3nm manufacturing process ensures M3 is faster and more power efficient. All that remains is Apple’s official announcement.
