1. Open the Threads app on your Android or iOS device and go to Profiles from the bottom panel.

6. However, if you go ahead and select the delete option, you will need to enter your thread credentials on the next page. Then, tap the Delete Thread Profile button to immediately send your account deletion request to the thread.

After you follow these steps, Threads will not delete your account immediately. According to Instagram’s support page, it can take up to 90 days after you submit your request for the thread to permanently delete your account. Requesting deletion of your Threads account also triggers a 30-day period. If you change your mind, you can cancel your account deletion by simply logging back in within 30 days.

Note : Deleting your Threads account does not require you to delete your Instagram account, but please note that if you delete your Instagram account, your Threads account will be automatically deleted.
