Gmail comes with many useful tools and features. To keep your inbox organized, Gmail offers a variety of options for creating folders, labels, and subfolders. Additionally, you can schedule emails natively in Gmail without using third-party add-ons. Now, Google has come up with a cool new feature that lets you track your packages right within the Gmail app. No need to look for tracking numbers or manually check shipment status. Gmail does all this automatically and displays the arrival date at a glance. How cool is that? So, follow the guide below to enable package tracking in Gmail.

Package tracking is now available in the Gmail app on iPhone and Android smartphones, but you must enable it manually. On Android smartphones, package tracking settings were added to Gmail version 2023.01.08.501398065.released (January 24). That said, the rollout is fast, so you may already have this feature. Just enable it. Here’s how:
Note: Please note that package tracking is not available in the desktop version of Gmail, so you must use the Gmail mobile app to use this feature.
1. First, open the Gmail app on your phone and go to Settings under the hamburger menu. Then select the email account for which you want to enable this feature. On your iPhone, open your Gmail settings and go to Data Privacy.
2. Next, scroll down and find the “ Package Tracking ” option and enable the feature. Please note that Google shares your tracking number with the shipping carrier.
3. From now on, you’ll see an estimated arrival date in your Gmail app. Information is available at a glance and the current status of the package is labeled. You can then open the email and access the order tracking card at the top, which includes the options to “Track Package” and “View Order.”

Here’s how to enable package tracking and get information about your package quickly. I would have loved if Google integrated this feature into the “At a Glance” widget on the home screen.
