How to install Lethal Company Mod (guide)

The co-op horror game Lethal Company quickly became a popular title. As with most PC-only games, you can use mods to enhance your experience or make your adventures a little easier. The original experience is amazing. It’s part comedy and part horror. However, to improve its gameplay even further, in this guide we have added a step-by-step process to install mods on Lethal Company.

Note:

Although Lethal Company’s mods are safer to run than other titles, we still recommend using some caution when modding.

Prerequisites for installing mods in Lethal Company

There is usually a built-in way to rollback to a clean version in case the mod is unlikely to affect your game. But for Lethal Company, this process is safe. Still, we recommend backing up your original files. To do this, follow these steps:

• Go to your Steam Library and find Lethal Company. Once you get there, right-click on it and hover over the “Manage” option.
• Now, select “Browse local files” to open the folder where your game files are located. Copy everything in this folder to another location.
  

Currently, you don’t need to worry about the version of the game as long as you are using the latest build of Lethal Company. If you haven’t already, make sure you’ve updated to the current app ID 1966720 and build ID 12681469. To check this, right-click on the game and go to its properties. Details are listed in “Update Information”.

How to start modding Lethal Company

Now that you have backed up your Lethal Company game files, it’s time to install the mod. Unlike Starfield modding guides that have multiple methods, Lethal Company only has one method. Based on my years of remodeling experience, this is the safest process. With that out of the way, let’s start the remodeling process.

Step 1: Install Thunderstorm Mod Manager

• First, visit the Thunderstore Mod Manager website and
  Download the installer . Then install it in your desired location.
  
• Once installed, open it. The main menu has a large number of games available. Search for “Lethal Company” using the search bar at the top.
  

• Once you select a game, you will be asked to create a profile. Thunderstore provides this option so that each profile includes its own mod. So if you like challenging gameplay, you can create different mod profiles with different mods.

• Once your profile is created, select it.
  

• By default, Thunderstore selects the Lethal Company folder location. To double check, select the setting and check the “Check Lethal Company directory” option.
  

You are now ready to install the Lethal Company MOD. From here on out, it’s easy, so just follow the steps below.

Step 2: Install Lethal Company Mod

• Click on the “Get MODs” option in the left sidebar to open the store.
  

• Search for the mod called “BepInExPack” in the store. This is a Unity mod framework that allows you to reliably install mods in your game. This is essential.
  
  

• Once BepInExPack is installed, you can start installing other mods to the game.
  
• While installing the mod, you will be asked about the version you want to install. Simply click the “Download with dependencies” button to proceed.
  

• To launch Lethal Company with a mod, click the blue “Modded” button in the top right corner.

Congratulations. I successfully launched Lethal Company using the mod. If you want to play a session without mods, please launch the game from Steam.

If you want to uninstall or disable a mod, click the arrow next to it and select the respective option from the dropdown.
