How to send instant video messages on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is constantly testing various new features on both Android and iOS. One of the long-awaited features that has been in the pipeline for quite some time was the ability to send video messages on WhatsApp. guess what? This feature was introduced to the Android and iOS versions of the social messaging app through a recent WhatsApp update. And from the looks of it, texting will soon become ” old “. If you want to join in on the fun, we’ll show you how to easily send instant video messages on WhatsApp.

Note : WhatsApp allows you to record and send video messages of up to 1 minute. Supported on both Android and iOS devices.

The steps to send a video message on WhatsApp are the same on iOS and Android. Let me briefly explain how it works.

1. First, update WhatsApp if you haven’t already done so to get new features.

2. Next, open the chat of the person you want to send a video message to.

3. Now find the voice memo icon next to the camera icon in the bottom right corner. Tap the voice memo icon and it will automatically switch to the video icon .

4. Now, just like sending a voice memo, long press the video icon to start recording your video message. If the video message doesn’t go as you want, slide your finger to the left to cancel the recording.

5. You can also swipe up to lock the video recording mode so you don’t have to long press the button.

6. Once you have finished recording your video message, tap the Send button. Or, if you want to retake the photo, tap the “Delete” button and start the process again. Then press send.
