However, it looks like the laptop will have more 14th generation chips, but they won’t be based on the Meteor Lake architecture. The i7-14700HX probably won’t be based on Meteor Lake architecture. So it looks like Intel is planning to have both Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh based processors in its 14th generation lineup. This is the best guess we have at the moment, and details will be officially revealed by Intel soon.

That aside, let’s talk about the i7-14700HX next. This new processor scored 17,475 points in the multi-core Geekbench 6 benchmark. This is a significant performance improvement over previous generation i7 – 13700HX processors, which typically score between 13,000 and 14,000 points in the same test.

The new 14th generation i7 processor also has an increased number of cores , which is the main characteristic that contributes to the new CPU’s increased performance.
