JioPhone Prima 4G with WhatsApp support

Jio showcased the new JioPhone Prima 4G feature phone at the recently concluded IMC 2023 event. The phone joins the existing JioPhone options and comes with support for social media apps like WhatsApp as one of its highlights. See below for details.

JioPhone Prime 4G: Specifications and Features

JioPhone Prima 4G can support popular apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, etc. You can also access Jio apps like JioCinema, JioSaavn, JioTV, JioChat, and even JioPay to initiate UPI payments. It also supports 23 languages.

This feature phone has a TFT display with a screen resolution of 320×240 pixels. You get a standard feature phone design with rounded edges and a concentric circle design on the rear panel. There is one rear camera and one 0.3MP front camera .

Up to 128 GB of storage available (via microSD card). Inside, it has an ARM Cortex A53 chipset. JioPhone Prima is powered by a 1,800mAh battery. Other details include support for FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and more. It runs KaiOS and comes with a 1-year warranty.

Price and availability

JioPhone Prime 4G is priced at Rs 2,599 and will go on sale during Diwali. The phone is said to have already been listed on JioMart, but that listing no longer exists. We hope to hear more about its availability and perhaps the benefits it offers soon.
