
In addition to its flagship V40 ThinQ smartphone, LG also launched the Watch W7, its first-ever Wear OS-powered smartwatch. In a sense, the Watch W7 is also the Korean company’s first hybrid smartwatch, as it also features mechanical hands. 
LG Watch W7: Main specifications
To quickly explain the specifications, the LG Watch W7 is equipped with a circular 1.2-inch LCD screen with a display resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and a pixel density of 300ppi. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 2100 chipset (not the latest Snapdragon 3100 SoC), with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage.

We know LG can make great-looking digital watches, but the company partnered with Switzerland’s Soprod SA to design and manufacture the Watch W7’s mechanical features. This enables high-precision quartz movement, along with the great features of the recently revamped Wear OS with gestures and Google Assistant integration.
Additionally, the LG Watch W7 packs a 240mAh battery, which the Korean giant claims can last up to two days on a single charge. According to the official press statement, the analog-only mode may be extended by 3-4 days . However, the mechanical watch-only mode can extend battery life to 100 days (or about 3 months).

This LG Watch W7 features the usual set of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE. USB Type-C port to enrich your watch. The watch is also IP68 rated, making it waterproof and dustproof.
Price and availability
LG has announced that its hybrid Wear OS smartwatch is now priced at $450 (approximately Rs. 33,200) in the US. It will be released on October 24th and pre-orders will begin this weekend on October 7th. There is no word on the release date in India yet.
