The Chinese giant has announced that it will launch the Oppo Find X3 series at the “Awaken Color” virtual event to be held on March 11, 2021. For the uninitiated, Oppo unveiled its revolutionary full-pass color management system at Oppo Inno Day 2020. This is a complex color management system that the company designed from the ground up to provide 10-bit color support in smartphones. The company has worked on this technology in the past and is now ready to ship it bundled with Oppo Find X3 Pro.

According to the leak, the next series will feature two other smartphones, namely Find X3 Neo and Find X3 Lite. However, the company is expected to launch only the Find X3 and X3 Pro on March 11th.

Find X3 Pro: The world’s first 1 billion color mobile phone

  • QHD+ display with 10-bit color support

The top-of-the-line flagship device in the series, the Find X3 Pro, is billed as “the world’s first end-to-end 1 billion color mobile phone.” It will be the first Android device to support the full DCI-P3 color gamut in all areas, from capturing images to displaying content on the display. It will likely feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a punch-hole design with a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels.

The company says the result of its new full-pass color management system is “a realistic, exciting, and rich visual experience from capture to encoding, storage, decoding, and display.”

Therefore, you can expect breathtaking colors and visual experience with Find X3 Pro. It also has an adaptive refresh rate system that adjusts the screen refresh rate and maintains it between 10Hz and 120Hz depending on the content.

The company has also improved the device’s camera capabilities. Oppo says in its official press release that the camera is “tuned to capture the highest quality photos and videos in a variety of scenarios.”

There are no details regarding the sensor and camera setup at this time. However, it is said to be equipped with a quad camera on the back. This includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 3MP macro lens that supports up to 25x zoom.
