Earlier this year, Riot Games promised us something new with Valorant Premier League. And they did not disappoint in the beta and ignition stages. Now that Valorant has officially concluded Premiere Stage 1, the action will begin again in November with Episode 7 Act 3. We’ve covered all the details you need to know about Valorant Premier, as many changes have been made to registration and practice mode. So let’s understand what Valorant Premier League is, its schedule, rules, rewards, divisions, and more.
What is Valorant Premier?
Premier is an advanced ranked mode for Valorant players. This is similar to Dota 2’s CS2 Premier Ranked mode or Team Ranked mode. Through Premier Mode, Tier 3 teams or grassroots players will get a bigger platform to perform and showcase their skills. By competing in all stages of the Premier, players and teams earn their way to the VCT Challengers .
According to Leo Faria , Valorant’s Global Head of Esports, Valorant Challenger requirements will require Premier Contender Division standings, rather than regular ranks. This will help some teams participate in Valorant Champions Tour 2024. So let’s take a look at the game mode rules and rewards.
Valorant Premier League rules
- Registering for Premier is easy. You can invite friends and players to play with you to the team you created. They can then line up together during the match queue period. Please note that other team members can join Premier Games even if the owner is offline.
- Match Queue Rules : All players on a team must verify their phone number through SMS verification. Additionally, if a player has received an AFK or disconnection ban in the past 30 days, they will not be able to compete until the ban is lifted. Also, please note that if a player is banned from communication due to sabotage, they will not be able to participate in the Premier for the remainder of the stage period. Even if you thought you could change your Valorant name, you can’t in this case.
- Rules for Playoffs and Weekly Tournaments : Weekly or Playoffs can only be played against one team on one account. Five players from a seven-player team can participate in the tournament, and anyone can leave the team at any time. You can still receive compensation after you leave the team if you are eligible. Teams earn 100 points for winning weekly matches in Premier Game mode and 25 points for losing. Teams must earn 675 points to qualify for the playoffs, which will take place on December 17, 2023.
- Gameplay and Overtime Rules : Premier’s weekly matches are played on a best-of-one format. Teams will each be given a one-minute timeout and one additional timeout in overtime. Premier matches follow a 13 round win format. However, overtime hours are slightly different. The first team to win 12 rounds receives a majority vote and selects the side that starts overtime. To win in overtime, one Valorant Premier team must win two consecutive rounds. Teams change every round, and after two sets of overtime, the game goes to sudden death.

Valorant Premiere Schedule (Episode 7 Act 3)
Valorant Premier release date
Premier Global Beta was released in April 2023. After a successful beta, the Valorant Premier Ignition stage started and lasted until August 13, 2023. After the Ignition play-offs, it was time for Stage 1 of the Premier League to begin. It didn’t take long. Riot has officially announced that the Premiere will take place immediately after the Valorant Champions 2023 finals on August 29, 2023. Valorant Premier Stage 1 started on September 7, 2023 and ended on October 22, 2023.
Along with that, Riot Games announced a number of new changes to the Premier model. Along with this announcement, Riot also shared a new schedule for the new Valorant premiere season. Match Week starts on November 1, 2023 and ends on December 17, 2023.
Match queue date and time
Match queue times vary by time zone. Typical time is evening local time. Premier match times will be between 5pm and 9:30pm local time. However, these timings are subject to change due to in-game updates, servers, or technical issues. For this reason, we always recommend going to the ” Team Hub ” section in-game to double-check timings.
The queue map changes weekly. Premier teams can play two games per week on each map . The map is reset every Tuesday. There is also a break between games for practice games. Map rotation varies depending on the week you select. If you can get in line early, you can finish both games of the week on the same day. The dates for Stage 1 of Valorant Premiere are as follows:
- Registration: You can register any week before the match week.
- Week 1: November 1st to November 5th in Split
- Week 2: Sunset November 8th to November 12th
- Week 3: Ascent from November 15th to November 19th
- Week 4: November 22nd to November 26th at Breeze
- Week 5: November 29th to December 3rd at Bind
- Week 6: December 6th to December 10th at Lotus
- Week 7: December 13th to December 16th at Haven
- Playoff Tournament: December 17th

Valorant Premier Division
Premier mode is divided into five divisions. Each division is further divided into five ranks, with the exception of the final Contender division . The Valorant Premier League divisions, from lowest to highest, are:
- Open (1 to 5)
- Intermediate (1 to 5)
- Advanced (1 to 5)
- Elite (1 to 5)
- candidate
Per Riot, each division also determines the MMR for its team. A team’s division is calculated based on the MMR of the top five players on the team. You can invite ranked players to your team as long as their rank does not change your team’s division. In that case, you will receive an error when you invite that player. Additionally, MMR will advance to future stages, but no divisions, zones, or registrations will continue. This means you will need to register again at a future stage.
Valorant premier rewards
There are four known rewards for participating and winning Valorant Premier. You will receive your reward on December 17, 2023, the day after your final match. If eligible, your reward will be included in your collection. Premier rewards are:
- player card
- gun buddy
- title
- crest
If you participate in even one game, you will receive a player card . Earn emblems by playing two games per week with your team. The crest reflects the performance of the entire team. Your emblem will also evolve during the Premier Mode stage. Winning a single match earns you a gun buddy and the title of winner.
Overall, Premier is a great initiative to encourage future players to showcase their talents and climb the ladder. Your performance at the premiere will carry over to the next stage and will be visible on your career page.
