When Asus announced the ZenFone Max Pro last month, one of the most exciting things about it was the 5,000mAh battery that Asus had somehow crammed into its (relatively) slim frame. Now that the ZenFone Max Pro is up for pre-order in India (prices start from ₹10,999), we’re sure many are wondering what the battery performance is really like . Well, we have done a battery test on ZenFone Max Pro for your benefit. This is the kind of battery performance you can expect from the ZenFone Max Pro.
charging test
Asus boasted about the ZenFone Max Pro’s huge 5,000 mAh battery and claimed that the phone comes with fast charging support, but we couldn’t find any details about the charging time, so here’s our charging test I started with This is strange because, surprisingly, the phone charges surprisingly quickly.
It took 2 hours to charge the ZenFone Max Pro from 10% to a full 100% using the included 5V/2A power adapter. At first glance, it looks like the smartphone will take a long time to charge, but this smartphone has a 5,000 mAh battery.
In our ultimate fast charging test on YouTube, we found that most phones with batteries around 3,000 mAh to 3,500 mAh take about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. When you think about it, the ZenFone Max Pro actually charges pretty quickly.
Battery life: Will it ever come to an end?
When I tried out the Redmi Note 4 with its 4,000 mAh battery last year, I was surprised by how long it lasted. So, naturally, the ZenFone Max Pro’s 5,000 mAh battery raised my expectations even higher. I’m happy to report that this phone not only met my expectations, but completely exceeded them.
I start my day (usually around 8am) at about 100% charge, and by the time I go to bed I’m usually at about 50% (which, by the way, is usually around midnight). We’re talking about heavy phone usage, not even light or moderate usage. Playing games, taking photos and videos, and watching videos on YouTube took up much of my time that day, and the ZenFone Max Pro just kept going. This phone can also be tiring due to its slow discharge. Not that I’m complaining.
This phone can also be tiring due to its slow discharge. Not that I’m complaining.

In my experience, the ZenFone Max Pro lasted two days before being plugged in. The battery performance of this phone is absolutely insane. We now have over 10 hours of screen on time!

ZenFone Max Pro battery test: Truly amazing
I think it’s no exaggeration to say that ZenFone Max Pro does not disappoint when it comes to battery. The phone’s huge 5,000 mAh battery is extremely long-lasting and you won’t be disappointed if you forget to charge your phone one day. Additionally, the 5,000 mAh battery charges very quickly. So, even if by some unfortunate coincidence you forget to charge your phone for a few days, you can charge it for a little while and you’ll have enough power to get through the day.
